Lunch on Friday and Saturday

Lunches will be brought to the gun club. The menus haven't been set yet, but expect some kind of picnicy kinds of food. The cost will be $6 to $8 to cover the cost of the food. Beverages are available at the club, soda is 1$, beer is 2$ and bottled water is available, no carry-ins are allowed.

Fish Boil

The fish boil, with all the trimmings, will start at 5 pm. The cost will be $12 to $15, dependent on the cost of the fish at the time we order it. There will also be hamburgers and hot dogs if you don't care for fish. You must call or email the Orthober’s if you plan to attend as a head count is needed for ordering the fish and other foods. The deadline is July 29th. Email Mike Orthober at wildwiztax@gmail.com or call (920)743-1827, by July 29th.

Rod & Gun Club

Most of our activities will be at the Door County Rod and Gun Club. We are not being charged for use of the facility, so the Rod & Gun Club is relying on beverage sales for some income — a pretty good deal for the WTA. A few items to note:

  • No beverage carry-in’s allowed. Water, soda and beer are available at a reasonable price.
  • No hard liquor is allowed on the premises. Water and soda are $1, beers $2.
  • Trap and skeet are $5 per round and sporting clays will be $10. Mike Orthober is planning a Louis Shoot competition, if you plan to compete, there will be a $2 fee to gather up a purse and spice up the shooting. The sporting clays requires 4 boxes of shells. Ammo is for sale at the club. The sporting clays is at 10am and at 2pm to 4pm on Friday, 8/11. Friday will be open trap and skeet. Bring your own guns and gear — of course.

Our host hotel, AmericInn Lodge and Suites in Sturgeon Bay, will be where our evening socials will take place. They have an outside area for our use. Everyone should bring their own coolers, ice, beverages, chairs, games, and might as well throw in the bug spray. There is an indoor area as well, if we have bad weather.

The competition is open to all members. The mounts will be judges by WTA members at a distance of 5 feet.

Walnut Creek Hardwood has once again donated four awards for our show. Make sure to use their products to be eligible to win these awards.

One mount will be chosen by our judges as the best overall mount.

NOTE: Be sure to use Walnut Creek Hardwood’s panels, as they donate awards for the mounts, if your mount is on their product.Contact Ryan Berra if you have any questions at Home 608.452.2131 or Shop 608.790.0554
